Describe the nominee's involvement as an Event ambassador:
Steve has TD's countless events from leagues to flex starts to the most famous MSDGC/Vibram Open/Maple Hill Open/MVP Open. He has hosted many A-tiers, at least one Major, too many B&C tiers to count as well as many disc sport events at unique locations such as the Polar park events he has run alongside some of the DGPT events. He was a recipient of the Hambrick Award from the PDGA for outstanding TD in 2009. And I am sure I am leaving out so much.
Describe the nominee's involvement as a Grow the Sport ambassador:
Steve is a dreamer. He is perhaps best known for founding the Disc Golf Pro Tour which has gone on to be one of the most significant pivotal tours for the professional ranks in disc golf. He always seeks to make his events about family, whether it is for the players or spectators. He often pairs the events at Maple with sideshow events that draw in families and youth.
Describe the nominee's involvement as a Player ambassador:
Steve has been a PDGA member since 2003 but does seem to have a few events dating back to 1998. In recent years, he has mainly played in local leagues at Maple but he did travel some in the earlier years, mainly competing in the MPO division.
Other information the committee may find useful. Please reference the specific section or sections of the criteria above. Provide examples of the nominee's impact on the disc golf community:
Whether it is his infectious warmth or providing New England with opportunities to compete or spectate at the highest caliber events, Steve does everything with a smile.
